In a single moment, everything can change. One moment can bring joy or sorrow, connection or loss. I am reminded of this profound truth when I reflect on the significance of Christ's death—it means our eternal salvation. Yet, I also feel the weight of my husband’s death, which serves as a poignant reminder of life’s fragility.

As I ponder the brevity of our time on Earth, I find myself questioning why God created something so transient, knowing we have no way to gauge when our time will end. It stirs a mix of gratitude and introspection within me.

Recently, I’ve found myself in a space that feels both familiar and necessary—a moment forced upon me, yet one that has brought me closer to my sister. This time together has been a break from my usual societal confines, a welcome pause that allows me to reflect on what truly matters.

Here, I experience one of the few places where I truly feel a sense of belonging. While I wouldn’t say I need this connection, I certainly enjoy it. It’s a reminder that community and family are vital, even for those of us who sometimes feel out of place in the world.

I know I am exactly where God wanted me, though I don't always understand why. It can be challenging to grapple with the feeling of not belonging, especially when it stems from my refusal to fit into a predefined box. I’ve learned to embrace who I am, and in doing so, I’ve come to love myself more. God has shown me that I don’t need to force myself into any mold; I already belong.

My family, the serene wooded areas with zero traffic, and the moments spent in nature remind me of this truth. I don’t need to conform to societal expectations; I just need to be present, to embrace the moments that life grants me.

In the grand tapestry of existence, it’s the connections we nurture, the love we share, and the moments we cherish that define our journey. Life is fragile, but it is also beautifully rich with opportunities for connection and understanding. I choose to embrace this journey, honoring the fleeting moments that shape my story.
